Hawaii Travel: Lahaina Beach Resort
Finding lodging at a Lahaina commercial property may put you in close proximity of the bustling city, but this will do nothing for your wallet. Keep in mind that the island is relatively small and most destinations on the island that are not in walking distance are in driving distance. Often finding a private rental or choosing a commercial property in nearby Kaanapali will get you a better deal.
Beach Resorts in Maui
Commercial properties on the island of Maui are some of the most beautiful around. If you enjoy the commercial and tourist business to be a part of your vacation then this is the option for you. If you are seeking a vacation that will put you in closer touch with the local culture then a commercial property stay may not be for you. In this case, you may want to seek out a privately owned rental. These residences often offer the same accoutrements of commercial properties, but without the excess.
Commercial properties do offer a lot of perks that you may not receive in a private rental situation. Most resorts have room service as an additional option to their dining offerings. In a private rental you will be missing out on the gourmet cuisine that is usually a part of the resort experience. Keep in mind, though, that many resorts extend their services to the general public. You can often golf on a resort course for a fee and dine in resort restaurants without staying on the premises.
The largest benefit you will receive from staying in a private rental is privacy. Most private renters allow a service to manage their property bookings. The residence is set up with all of the comforts of home. The living is often furnished, as are the bedrooms and dining room. The kitchen is typically stocked with dishes and working appliance. You do have to supply your own food and do your own cooking. The advantage is privacy, the comforts of a home like atmosphere and there is no threat of a family with screaming children in the room next to yours.
